RAJOURI, OCTOBER 13. In accordance to the District Panchayat Election Officer, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, a daylong training programme was organized today to pass on training to Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs). The ROs and AROs were imparted training by the District level Master Trainer Prof.Iqbal Raina. The Master trainer gave hands-on training to the poll staff about the process of polling and collection of polling material, handling over the ballot boxes and subsequent counting of votes and other concerned procedures to be adapted for proper working of Panchayat By-Elections.Elaborate guidance was also imparted in connected with the poll day and after poll procedure and Model Code of Conduct.
Deputy District Election Officer, Shafiq Mir, while speaking to the ROs and AROs stressed on them to minutely go through the handbook/manual and take every measure thoughtfully for conduct of the bye- election.
