VIGILANCE NABS WAKF BOARD EMPLOYEE FOR TAKING BRIBE OF Rs. 20,000

 

Chandigarh, June 10: State Vigilance Bureau arrested Wakf Board Employee for accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000.

 

Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said Javed Iqbal, rent clerk posted at Punjab Wakf Board office at Mansa was arrested on the complaint of Jagdish Singh of Village Kulana in Mansa district

 

The complaint has approached the VB and alleged that the above said rent clerk was demanding Rs. 50,000 to renew rent lease of a plot belonging to Punjab Wakf Board and the deal was struck at Rs. 20,000.

 

After verifying his information, Vigilance team laid a trap and the accused rent clerk arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs.20,000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.
