“We all are in debt of the society and we are taking something from the society every moment, so we should help the people to repay this debt.” – Haryana Health Minister

“We should extend complete cooperation to Divyangjan at our end” – Sh. Anil Vij

Chandigarh, April 7 – Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that “We all are in debt of the society and are taking something or the other from the society every moment and this debt is continuously increasing on us, we keep taking from the society and never give. Thus, we can pay off the debt of this society by helping the poor and especially the Divyang.”

Sh. Vij was addressing a gathering as the Chief Guest at the Special Olympics India National Health Fest event at Panchkula here today. On this occasion, the Health Minister and other dignitaries also inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

While addressing the people, the Health Minister said that those who keep taking from the society are debt-ridden and to liberate ourselves of this debt one should involve themselves in doing charitable work and help the needy. This not only makes life meaningful but also brings happiness and joy.

While narrating a short story on this occasion, Sh. Vij said that “Once a traveller felt thirsty and he went to a river and quenched his thirst. He then said to the river that ‘Hey-Nadi-Mata’ your water is very clean and sweet. But the ocean is bigger than you but why is its water salty? To this the river replied to traveller saying that I take with one hand and give with the other, whereas the ocean only takes never gives, so my water is sweet. Referring to the meaning of the story, Sh. Vij said that we all should help the needy to liberate ourselves from this debt and clean up so that they can also come on par with us.

Regarding Divyangjan, Sh. Vij said that many programmes are being run in Haryana for Divyangjan and these people need love. He said that however, some organizations and people are playing a pivotal role to help the differently-abled. In this episode, the Special Olympics India National Health Fest programme is being organized by Smt. Mallika Nadda, wife of BJP’s National President Sh. J.P. Nadda, to help the differently-abled, for which I salute her. He said that many times the family members of the Divyangjans do not take care of them so today we should help them by understanding their mindset and try to provide them all kinds of facilities.

On this occasion, Sh. Vij was honoured with a memento by Dr. Anju Bajpai, in-charge and director of Special Olympics India National Health Fest, Haryana.

Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Sh. O.P. Yadav, former MLA, Smt. Latika Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Sh. Rajeev Arora, Panchkula Mayor Sh. Kulbhushan Goyal and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
