District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg evening started a Football tournament at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Kupwara. The DDC, on the occasion, had a conversation with the football players and watched the match played between BHSS Kupwara and Kupwara Soccer’s. Speaking on the occasion, the DDC congratulated the organisers of the tournament and said that sports activities are important for the development of the youth. He said District Administration has made many efforts to develop the sports infrastructure in the district and by now, there are so many playfields, even in far off villages available across the district. The DDC asked the youth to take part in the sports and other activities together with the curricular activities. The players and the football fans thanked for the efforts of DDC for facilitating playing of the match in the evening. The youth said that for the last 30 years it when first time football match was played in the evening in the district. The Playfield was wearing a festive look. Among others, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Jitender Singh was also present there.
