Feroz Khan inaugurates newly established Central Heating System at DC Office, Kargil

Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan inaugurated the Central Heating System of the newly renovated office of the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil here today.
Executive Councillor for Cooperatives Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi, Executive Councillor for Works Mubarak Shah Nagvi, Executive Councillor for Rural Development and Zanskar Affairs Er Phunsog Tashi , Executive Councillor for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, SSP Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar, Additional SP Kargil Iftikhar Talib Choudhary, President Municipal Committee, Kargil Zaheer Hussain Babar, Councillor Baroo Minjee, Kargil Sheikh Ghulam Mehdi, SE PWD Kargil Er Ved Prakash, ACR Kargil Shabir Hussain, Chief Planning Officer Kargil Abdul Hadi and other district officers were present on the occasion.
The Central Heating System with a Motor Power Capacity of 7.5 HP and Total Boiler Capacity of 3 lac Kilo Calories with 73 heating units will cater to the central heating requirements of all sections in the DC Office including the DC’s chamber and NIC section.
Speaking on the occasion, CEC Khan congratulated the Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary for having set up the central heating facility besides for having carried out major renovation works in the DC Office for the first time since its establishment in the decade of the 1980s.
The CEC said that furthering the vision of the Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur for the establishment of central heating facilities in Government offices in Ladakh to facilitate smooth official work especially during winters, such provision has been kept for the Council Secretariat Kargil, adding that steps will also be taken to establish central heating system in major institutions, hospitals, offices and schools in the district.
Underlining the importance of DC Office as an institution to cater to the developmental needs of the general public who visit it from time to time, the CEC hailed the DC Kargil for creating required facilities including the central heating and waiting facilities thereby creating homely feeling to visitors, adding that the DC Office has come up as a major asset to the district as well as an ideal model for replication to other offices in the district.
Meanwhile, the CEC along with the ECs and DC Kargil along with other officers went round different sections of the newly renovated and centrally heated DC Office, Kargil.
The CEC and ECs appreciated the DC Kargil for having set up emergency exit facilities in every gallery and fire combat-ready extinguishers among other modern-day facilities been set up in the building.
