Leh, Aug 26: Valedictory function of the fifteen-day online course on ‘Basic Screen Acting’ as per SKIFT (Skilling India into Film & Television) in collaboration with UT Ladakh and Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) held Tuesday at the office of the Department of Tourism.
Director Tourism Ladakh Kunzes Angmo, Assistant Director Tourism Jigmet Namgyal, Course Director Phuntsog Ladakhi and course participants from Ladakh were present. While, Director FTII Bhupendra Kainthola, SKIFT head Prof Sandeep Shahare, and participants from various parts of the country also joined through video conferencing.
Director Toursim Kunzes Angmo speaking on the occasion congratulated for the successful completion of the course and expressed hope that the participants will make optimal use of the lessons learnt during the course. She expressed her gratitude to SKIFT, FTII and Course Director Phuntsog Ladakhi for providing such opportunity to the budding artists and enthusiasts of Ladakh. She expressed her gratitude to Commissioner/Secretary Rigzin Samphel for the support and overall guidance for the course.
AD Tourism Jigmet in his address congratulated for the completion of the course and said that he look forward to conduct similar on-line courses in cinematography, camera and others in this genre for the benefit of the art lovers of the region.
Director FTII Bhupendra Kainthola expressed his share of happiness for completion of the course and gave valuable opinion and tips to the participants. He also expressed his appreciations to UT Ladakh for making the on-line courses possible.
SKIFT Head Sandeep Shahare talked about the initial collaboration of FTII with Ladakh in conducting courses through LAHDC Leh and said that this year successful conduct of on-line courses with the help of the Tourism Department has opened doors for other courses in the genre.
Course Director Phuntsog Ladakhi in his address expressed gratitude to UT Ladakh and FTII for conducting the course and made special mention of Commissioner/Secretary Rigzin Samphel for his support and guidance.
Seventeen on-line participants from other regions of the country and seven local participants were part of the course. Sharing their views about the course they expressed their gratitude to the organizers and their course mentor. Glimpses of monologue, dialogue, drama, and acting were presented by both the on-line and off-line participants. Scintillating dance performance by the off-line participants in Ladakh concluded the valedictory function on a musical note.
