FIR lodged after body of a man found near protest site at Singhu border, Investigation of the case is underway

Chandigarh, October 15– First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged at Kundli police station in connection with murder of a person near the protest site at the Singhu border in Sonipat district.

 

Giving detailed information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that on October 15, 2021 police in Kundli got information that near the protest site at the Singhu border, the Nihangs have hanged and tied a person to a barricade and his hand was chopped off. As soon as the police reached there, the person had died. Some people were standing there. When the police tried to take the body away, the people at the spot protested. After some efforts, the body was brought to the civil hospital Sonepat for post-mortem. The post-mortem of the dead body will be conducted by the board of doctors. Case FIR number 605 dated October 15, 2021 has been registered in the police station Kundli under sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

People were questioned regarding the incident but no concrete information was gathered. After making extensive efforts, the deceased has been identified as Lakhbir Singh son of Harnam Singh, resident of Chimakhurd district Tarn Taran Punjab. The accused involved in the incident will be arrested soon. In-depth investigation of the case is underway, he added.
