Seafood

Seafood should be avoided at all costs. Monsoon is the breeding season and so fishes can contain eggs inside their bodies which when consumed can cause stomach infection or severe food poisoning.

Deep fried food

We understand that the cravings for deep fried food increase substantially during monsoon. But it is advisable that you avoid them. The reason behind this theory is that the human digestive system slows down during monsoon and fried food is difficult to digest. Green leafy vegetables

In any other case, these are the first type of food that are suggested for good health. However in the monsoon season, these leafy vegetables become the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and viruses and we certainly want to avoid them.

Anything that has been left in the open for long has a chance of getting contaminated. This can lead to anyone consuming them getting ill. Therefore it is advisable to eat only freshly cut fruits and vegetables in monsoon to prevent any kind of infection.
