Gian Chand Gupta paid floral tributes to the freedom fighters at War Memorial
Chandigarh, March 23 – On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day (Shaheedi Diwas), Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Gian Chand Gupta has paid floral tributes to the freedom fighters today at War Memorial in Sector-12, Panchkula. Two minutes silence was also observed in memory of martyrs.
Gupta said that this day is dedicated to those martyrs who bravely made the supreme sacrifice for securing the independence of our country. He said that heroes like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev sacrificed their lives so that the nation could be free.
Gupta said that today we are enjoying freedom because of the sacrifice of our heroes. Paying tributes to the freedom fighters who fought and won the war of 1971, he said that today the entire country is paying tribute to our young brave soldiers who lead their lives even in the hardest conditions for protecting the borders of the country.
