Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel visited the CSC Centre Khajuraho

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel visited the CSC Centre Khajuraho on Sunday and inquired about the health activities during his stay in Khajuraho. He also visited various rooms of the health centre and AYUSH medical centre and inquired about the health related activities from the concerned staff. Collector Shri Sandeep GR, CMHO and other doctors were present.

Governor Shri Patel stressed on organizing intensive camps to test sickle cell disease. He said that in the survey investigation of sickle cell if a patient is found in a family then all family members should be examined by the doctor himself by making a visit. He said that tribal dominated areas have the highest percentage of people suffering from this disease. Conduct investigation campaigns focusing on such areas. He informed that sensitive efforts have been started in the state to control sickle cell. No member of the tribal-dominated settlement should be left out in the survey.

Governor Shri Patel discussed with the RKSK counsellor after visiting the Umang health centre operated for adolescent girls in the age group of 10 to 19 years. The counsellor gave information about the problems of adolescent girls, physical changes and counseling being given. The counsellor told that at the village level, women associated with Saathiya Sangathan, discuss with the adolescent girls and give them counselling. Medical help is provided to the adolescent girls as per the need. Expressing happiness, Governor Shri Patel appreciated the good work being done. He said that programmes conducted to focus on adolescent boys and girls are worthwhile. The social service being done by Saathiya in this work is also worthy of praise. After visiting the hospital, Governor Shri Patel took information about the patients coming for treatment and the admitted patients during discussion with the doctors. Information about the treatment of premature babies was also obtained. Doctors told that ASHA workers, after taking information about pregnant women, advise them regarding malnutrition. Malnourished children are sent to Rajnagar Health Centre and kept under observation, their weight is taken daily. After the delivery of worker women, the amount of the scheme is given as per rules. When TB patients come, necessary tests are done as per the need.
