In order to strengthen the District Hospitals and new GMCs, the process of implementation of DNB courses in District Hospitals and new GMCs was initiated by Yasin Choudhary, Mission Director NHM, J&K under the dynamic leadership of Atal Duloo, Additional Chief Secretary, HME Department, J&K. The implementation of the DNB courses will enable these District Hospitals and GMCs to deliver tangible results in terms of HR and service delivery.
These courses are expected to drastically improve the health care services in the far flung districts and improve the services in the tertiary care institutions as well. This is also expected to markedly bring down the referral from the far flung districts to the already overburdened tertiary care institutes of the UT of J&K.
