49.3 per cent of the people have been vaccinated in Gurugram – Health Minister
Chandigarh, June 15 – Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that in a survey Government of India has ranked Gurugram first among 24 major urban cities in the country as 49.3 percent of its population has been vaccinated.
Sh. Vij informed that till June 12, 2021, 8,51,154 vaccination doses (both doses) have been administered to the people of Gurugram. Sharing the details of category wise administration of doses he said that 60,029 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have received both the doses, 55,408 Front Line Workers (FLWs) have been administered both the doses. On the doses administered to 60 years and 45 to 60 years old beneficiaries, 4,88,009 vaccination doses (both doses) has been administered to them and for beneficiaries falling in the age group of 18 to 44 years 2,47,708 vaccination doses (both doses) have been administered.
The Health Minister said that in the survey, Indore stood second with 44.9 per cent, Kolkata third with 42.7 percent, Chennai fourth with 39.2 percent and Vadodara city was fifth with 38.7 per cent vaccination. Similarly, Bangalore city has 38.4 per cent, Gautam Buddha Nagar 38.1 per cent, Bhopal 37.9 per cent, Jaipur 36.7 per cent, Hyderabad 35 per cent, Ahmedabad 31.4 per cent, Pune 28.2 per cent and Trivandrumpuram 27.9 percent vaccination.
