HAFED’s Retail Sale Outlets to operate on all seven days of the week

Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that HAFED has taken a new initiative under which its Retail Sale Outlets will operate from 9.30 AM to 7.30 PM on all seven days of the week. This decision has been taken in view of the convenience of consumers, he added.
Dr. Banwari Lal said that earlier the HAFED sale outlets used to remain closed on holidays which was a major reason for low volume business/sale of its consumer products which are in high demand in the market. HAFED is famous for its grocery products such as Superfine Basmati Rice, Wheat flour and Kachhi Ghani Mustard Oil. Last year HAFED could have sold consumer products amounting to Rs. 55 Crore, he added.
In order to reach out to large number of consumers of Haryana, HAFED has put a sale target of its consumer food products to the tune of Rs. 300 crore in the financial year 2021-22 for which HAFED has introduced complete computerization of its existing 29 Retail Sale Outlets across the State of Haryana for which HAFED has hired a professional Retail Agency for store management, e-billing and Point of Sale (POS) based LT Solution for sale of all grocery/consumer items. As a result, HAFED has been able to monitor from Head Quarter the daily sale of its various consumer products on real time basis through dashboard, he said.
Cooperation Minister said that consumers will now get computerized receipts for purchase of every product of HAFED which has completely replaced the earlier manual process and has resulted in financial efficiency.
The immediate impact is the increase in the sale volume at HAFED sale outlets. For example after taking over of the first sale outlet at Narnaul by the said agency, the increase in sale has gone up by more than 50 percent in just 3 days of operation, he added.
