Chandigarh October 7 – The players from Haryana are achieving new feats in the 36th National Games, ongoing in Gujarat. Archery team has won the title of champion by performing outstanding in back to back games by securing 5 gold medals for Haryana. Even before this, Haryana has become the overall champion in the net ball game.
In Archery, in girls’ recurve event, Sangeeta Malik has won gold, in team category Sangeeta Malik, Preeti, Bhajan Kaur and Avni Malik have won gold medals. Apart from this, Bhajan Kaur and Akash Malik have won gold medals in the mixed team.
In boys’ recurve category, Abhijeet Malik, Akash Malik, Basant and Sagar won gold medals. At the same time, Rishabh Yadav made Haryana proud by winning the gold medal in the compound round.
Coach Manjit Malik, Neeraj Vashisht, Jyoti Malik and team manager Muneet Berwal congratulated the players on this achievement of the archery team.
Hockey girls team reached the semi-finals
The girls’ team has now made it to the semi-finals by registering consecutive victories in the pool matches of hockey. The semi-final match will be played on October 9, 2022. It is expected that they will retain their victorious chariot and win the final match and capture the gold medal.
