Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that elections to Panchayati Raj Institutions will be conducted after the decision of the court.

Chandigarh, December 26– Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that elections to Panchayati Raj Institutions will be conducted after the decision of the court.

He was interacting with the media persons after attending a programme at village Mokhra in Rohtak district today.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that amendments have been made in the law regarding Panchayati Raj Institutions and the Government has been looking forward to conduct the elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions following these amendments. He said that we are waiting for the decision of the High Court which is likely to come in the month of January.

He said that the issue of giving 50 percent reservation to women and 8 percent to BC-A category is still pending in the High Court. It is the objective of the government that the people of the state should get the benefit of the new amendments, so we are waiting for the decision of the High Court.
