Haryana Government authorizes District Deputy Commissioners to take decision regarding closing of shops in crowded markets after 6.00 pm today
Chandigarh, April 23 – The Haryana Government has authorized the District Deputy Commissioners to take decision regarding closing of shops in crowded markets after 6.00 pm today as a precaution in view of exponential surge in the COVID-19 cases.
Haryana Chief Secretary, Vijai Vardhan, who is also the Chairman of Haryana State Executive Committee under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, has issued a circular in this regard to all the Administrative Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners of the State. According to the circular, the concerned District Deputy Commissioner will ensure that adequate number of chemist and grocery shops are allowed to be operational in crowded market after 6:00 PM so that citizens do not face any kind of inconvenience. In addition, restaurants will only be allowed to be open for home delivery.
