Haryana Government expedites the pace of working for development and employment in southern part of the state

Chandigarh, January 20: The Haryana Government has expedited the pace of working in direction of opening new doors of development and employment in southern part of the state. In this series, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala today held a meeting with the officers and gave necessary directions in view to start construction work of North India’s largest ‘Integrated Multimodal Logistics Hub’ to be constructed at Nangal Chaudhary in district Mahendragarh.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Industries and Commerce Department, held a review meeting with the senior officers of Power Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department of the State along with Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation regarding the construction of the Hub.

He took stock of the proposed construction work to be undertaken by the concerned departments as per the map. Setting timelines for the various works to the concerned officers, he also directed them to complete all the processes and start the work timely.

After the meeting Dushyant Chautala said that with the opening of this logistics hub at Nangal Chaudhary, for the first time multinational companies will come in South Haryana and revenue share for District Mahendragarh will also increase. This hub will bring employment and prove to be a milestone for the all-round development of the region, he added.

He said that this logistics hub will also get the benefit of Delhi-Mumbai Dedicated Rail Freight Corridor. The corridor will play an important role in bringing raw materials and taking finished goods to companies, he added. Goods to be brought or carried via containers between Delhi and Mumbai can be loaded or unloaded here.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, Alok Nigam, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, AK Singh, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Anurag Agarwal, Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd, T.L. Satyaprakash among other senior officers were present.
