The State Government has set a target of collecting revenue of Rs. 9,200 crore – Dushyant Chautala

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the Haryana Government has approved the Excise Policy for the year 2022-23 and the State Government has set a target of collecting revenue of Rs. 9,200 crore. He informed that revenue of about Rs. 6,400 crore was collected last year, which has increased to Rs. 7,938 crore this year.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala was interacting with media persons at a press conference here today. He said that transit slips have been introduced for better control of inter-state movement of liquor and high security holograms have also been implemented under track and trace system, under which the companies which produce spurious and illicit liquor will be blacklisted in the state. Flow meters and CCTV cameras have been installed at all distilleries and bottling plants in Haryana. There will also be a facility of QR code system under which transparency in the process will be ensured.
He said that the officers of the Excise and Taxation Department will be given special training by organizing camps by the UK Government officials. They will provide training as well as share information on GST monitoring with Excise and Taxation officials. Similarly artificial intelligence tools will be adopted in GST collection.
Increase in GST collection by 16 percent; target of Rs. 40,000 crore for the coming year
Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that Haryana, which is smaller than many states in terms of area and population, has been ranked 5th in the entire country in GST collection. He said that this year GST collection has increased by 16 percent, under which the total GST collection has reached Rs. 35,390 crore as compared to Rs. 30,507 crore which was collected last year. He said that Haryana is moving towards self-reliance, so we have set a target of Rs. 40,000 crore for GST collection.
Similarly, while giving information about SGST, he said that this year the total collection of SGST has been Rs. 15,115 crore which was earlier Rs. 11, 959 crore. To achieve this feat a team of 12 to 15 officers was constituted by the department which was also successful to a great extent in cracking down on GST evasion. Apart from this, we have shifted Haryana from Module-1 to Module-2 and efforts have been made to reduce the time of delay in fetching data. Similarly, he said that the GST offices in Haryana were modernized at a cost of Rs. 30 crore along with upgradation with emphasis on high-speed internet, computer and artificial intelligence.
Approval of airspace and defense policy, work to be done on manufacturing aviation drones, proposal to build a helihub in Gurugram
Sh. Chautala said that it is our dream to take aviation towards new heights in Haryana and in this episode, Airspace and Defense policy has been approved in the Haryana Cabinet meeting. Haryana is one of the primary states where work is being done on innovation of aerospace defense and in this series permission has been given for production and manufacturing of aerospace defense. He said that under this a target has been set to attract investment of 1 billion USD.
He said that in Haryana we are taking initiative by developing five airstrips in the state at Pinjore, Karnal, Narnaul and Bhiwani etc., under which if any unit does defense related production within 10 km radius of the airport, it will be given 5 percent reimbursement by the Government. Similarly, SGST up to Rs. 20 crore will be refunded to the unit working within a radius of 25 km, under which 50 percent in B block for 6 years, 75 percent in C block for 8 years and 100 percent refund up to 10 years in D block.
Similarly, the state government is taking a step forward in the field of drones and in the next five years work will be done on manufacturing of aviation drones. He informed that Hisar airport is coming up as an alternative and the work on this airport is in mid stage and it will act as an accelerated pace in development.
He informed that there is also a proposal to build a helihub on 25 acres of land along Dwarka Express in Gurugram, which will fully cooperate in promoting Chardham Yatra and B-to-B operations and this will also ensure the smooth connectivity. With the formation of this helihub, while on one hand the burden of passengers will be reduced at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, on the other hand there will also be an option for repair and maintenance work.
100 percent lifting of procured crops in the state, Rs. 7,330 crore deposited in farmers’ accounts
While talking about the procurement of crops produce in the state, Sh. Chautala said that till now 100 percent procurement has been lifted in the state and the work of sending to FCI racks and other states has also been completed. He said that an amount of Rs. 7,330 crore has been transferred to the farmers in their accounts, which is more than 99 percent.
There will be upgradation of Patwarikhanas and Tehsils, farmers will be able to self-report the crop damage, common portal will be made for revenue
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Patwarkhanas and Tehsils would be upgraded in the State and Patwaris would be digitized and equipped. He said that in the case of crop damage, Haryana Government is going to take a step forward soon, under which the farmers will be able to send the report regarding the damage of his crop through his mobile phone and will be able to upload his information, after which the concerned Patwari will investigate which will save time. Apart from this, he said that the record of land has been digitized and on the same lines the records of Panchayat land and Patwarkhanas will also be digitised. Apart from this, a common portal has been created for engineering works which has got the consent of 28 departments. On the same lines, a common portal will also be created for revenue, under which the work of maintenance and monitoring of data and data related to revenue will be done.
