Last date for payment of loan for Rabi crop is August 31, 2021 and for Kharif crop is September 30, 2021 – Dr. Banwari Lal
Chandigarh, June 28: Haryana Co-operative Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that the State Government has made an important announcement, giving relief to the farmers who are suffering from the second wave of COVID pandemic, under which the date for repayment of loan given to farmers by Registrar of Cooperative Societies through primary agricultural cooperatives to the farmers of the state has been extended.
He said that under this announcement the date of payment of Rabi crop which was to be made between September 1, 2020 and February, 28, 2021 and which was to be paid on or before June 30, 2021 has been extended to August 31, 2021.
The Co-operative Minister informed that similarly, the advance date of Kharif crop 2021, which was from March 1, 2021 to August 31, 2021, has also been extended to September 30, 2021.
He said that with this announcement, about 3.5 lakh farmers of the state are likely to get interest relief of about Rs 35 crore, which is a commendable step for the welfare of the farmers.
