Eligible candidates can apply till May 28, 2022
Chandigarh, May 21 – To recognize the excellence in efforts towards environment conservation, the Environment and Climate Change Department of Government, Haryana has invited nominations for Darshan Lal Jain State Paryavaran Conservation Puraskar.
The said awards will be distributed to the selected candidates at the World Environment Day function on June 5, 2022. The details are also available on the website of the Department (http://www.harenvironment.gov.in).
Notably, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, during the Vidhan Sabha session held in March 2022 announced the introduction of a new award in the name of prominent social activist of Haryana, Sh. Darshan Lal Jain for recognizing excellence in efforts towards environment conservation and promotion in the areas of pollution control (water and air), conservation of natural resources, management of different types of wastes, creation of awareness among the general public on the environmental issues and related subjects.
Sharing more information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that two awards will be given to those selected by the screening committee and they will be rewarded with a citation and a prize amount of Rs.3,00,000 and Rs.1,00,000.
The eligible domain for participation will be from Organizations/Institutions, Government Departments, Individuals, NGOs, schools, colleges, and private entities, that have done exemplary works for the conservation of environment, informed the spokesperson.
The spokesperson further said that the nominations invited by Environment and Climate Change Department for Darshan Lal Jain State Paryavaran Conservation Puraskar have to reach the Office of Director General, Environment and Climate Change Department, Bays No.55-58, Second Floor, Sector-2, Panchkula, Haryana, either by hard copy or hand/post or through email ([email protected]) till May 28, 2022.
