Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that India will become a Vishwa Guru with the inspiration of holy book Bhagavad Gita, which delivers the message of peace to the entire humanity. He said that this holy book is not a religious scripture pertaining to a certain religion or section of society. He said that even today, the teachings of Gita have its own significance and Haryana is blessed to have the holy land of Kurukshetra where Lord Krishna delivered the sermons of Gita 5158 years ago.

The Governor was interacting with the media persons at the inaugural ceremony of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava and State Level Exhibition programme of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department of Haryana in Kurukshetra today. Earlier, Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya inaugurated the State Level Exhibition. On this occasion, Education and Tourism Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Sardar Sandeep Singh, Member of Parliament, Sh. Naib Singh Saini, MLA, Sh. Subhash Sudha, Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swami, Geeta Manishi Swami Gyananand were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that this Gita Jayanti Mahotsava provides a way to promote cultural, spiritual and moral values. He said that officers, scientists and dignitaries working in various fields will get linspiration by organising such Vishwa Guru Bharat Exhibition.
Geeta Manishi Swami Gyananand said that Bhagavad Gita shows the right path shows solution for every problem. Following the teachings of this holy book will lead to the welfare of entire humanity. With the vision to promote the teachings of this holy book, the efforts of Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal have led to organise Gita Mahotsava on International Level.
The Governor paid heartfelt condolences to untimely demise of Gen Bipin Rawat and other jawans on this occasion. He said that their demise created an unprecedented void in the military hierarchy. The Governor prayed almighty that their soul may rest in peace.
