Haryana invites applications for the Bhima Award
Chandigarh, July 22- Haryana government has invited applications from outstanding sportspersons of the state for the Bhima Award on the basis of their sports achievements in the last four years.
The interested players can submit applications in the office of District Sports & Youth Affairs Officers by August 15, 2020. The application form can also be downloaded from the departmental website www.haryanasports.gov.in or can be collected from the office on any working day.
Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that only visually and hearing impaired players can apply for the Bhim Award for the year 2017-18. For this, the achievements from April 1, 2013, to March 31, 2017, will be considered.
He informed that for the remaining sportspersons the achievements from April 1, 2014, to March 31, 2018, will be considered for the year 2018-19, achievements from April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2019, will be considered for 2019-2020, achievements from April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2020, will be considered for the year 2020-21. The applications should be on the basis of achievements. He said that no applications will be accepted after August 15, 2020.
The spokesperson said that the players shall submit the application form with certified copies of sports achievements, certificates of representing of Haryana at the national-level, date of birth certificate, domicile, copy of bank passbook, and three colored passport size photographs of the players.
