Chandigarh, Sept 13– Haryana Police has arrested four accused on the charges of cheating people by luring them on high returns through a fake company “Crypto World Trading Company” in Ambala district.
Sharing the information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that arrested accused have been identified as Kapil, a resident of Ambala Cantt, Vikas Kalra of Ambala City, Tarun Taneja and Ramesh Kumar, both residents of Kurukshetra district.
While Kapil was arrested from Maheshnagar on September 6, Vikas arrested from Amritsar (Punjab) on September 8, Tarun nabbed from Pilani (Rajasthan) on Sept 10 and Ramesh was arrested from Ambala on September 12.
Ambala Sadar police station has received a complaint against accused who dupe them in the name of investing in Crypto World Trading Company. Subsequently, a case under relevant sections of IPC was registered and a police team was constituted including cops from the economic, crime and cyber wings, to probe the case further.
During the investigation, properties worth about Rs 60 lakh have been seized from the accused including seizure of 13 bank accounts and recovery of 4 vehicles, cash and gold. Action will also be taken against whoever is found to be involved during the course of investigation. Further probe is underway, he added.
