Haryana Police have seized 30 kg 182 gram of charas

Chandigarh, Aug 21 – Haryana Police have seized 30 kg 182 gram of charas being smuggled in a car into the state from Nepal Border in Charkhi Dadri district. Three persons were arrested in this connection.

          Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the seizure was made by a CIA team late last night near Morwala village at Delhi road in the district. Initial investigation revealed that accused had brought contraband from Nepal Border and was heading towards Hisar.

          He said that acting on tip-off about smuggling of drugs in a car, police established a naka and started conducting checking of vehicles coming from Delhi side. Soon after the team signaled a Santro car to stop and when frisked, it recovered charas weighing 30 kg 182 gram from the possession of three persons riding in the car.

          The three car borne youths were identified as Vinod aka Bangar, Parveen aka Makku and Nishant.

          Case under provisions of NDPS Act was registered and further investigation is on to find out their contacts in drug-peddling.

          It may be mentioned here that following the DGP Haryana, Sh. Manoj Yadava’s directives, all the district SPs had launched a crackdown on drug peddlers and those involved in its distribution network in the entire state.
