Haryana Police nab a drug supplier from Madhya Pradesh

Chandigarh, August 11 – In a major breakthrough, Haryana Police has arrested a most-wanted criminal and drug supplier, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000, from Madhya Pradesh.

Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the arrested accused was identified as Sonu, a resident of district Aagar in Madhya Pradesh had been arrested in connection with recovery of more than 10 quintals of drugs from Kurukshetra district. Three accused have already been arrested in this case.

During the course of the probe, the police team organized a raid in Madhya Pradesh and nabbed the accused supplier on August 2, 2021 who was evading arrest.

During the remand period, a car and Rs 50,000 cash were also recovered from his possession. The investigation so far has also revealed that earlier the accused was arrested under the NDPS Act in Jind district. In this case the accused managed to escape and was declared a proclaimed offender by the Court. Total three cases were registered against him in Jind district.

It is noteworthy that a Police team acting on secret input had seized 10 quintal 38 kg poppy husk (chura/doda post) and 34 kg of ganja during a raid conducted at a house in Kurukshetra district on October 30, 2020. Three persons identified as Roshan, Firoz Khan and Sandeep were also arrested. A search of the premises led to the seizure of a whopping 10.38 quintals of poppy husk and 34 kg ganja.
