Haryana Police organizes Yoga event to mark International Yoga Day

Chandigarh, June 21 :- To mark the 8th International Day of Yoga, Haryana Police organized a Yoga event in the premises of Police Officers Institute, Panchkula. On this occasion, Director General of Police (DGP) Haryana Sh. P.K. Agrawal along with other police officers and personnel practiced yoga asanas which were guided by the instructors.

On this occasion, the DGP congratulated everyone and added that the International Day of Yoga is being celebrated across the globe on this day for the last eight years. He said that to keep the body healthy, it is necessary to include yoga in our daily routine.

In this yoga and pranayama camp, which lasted for about one and a half hours, DGP Haryana Sh. P.K. Agarwal, DGP State Vigilance Bureau Sh. Shatrujit Kapoor, ADGP Modernization and Welfare Sh Alok Roy, ADGP Crime Sh OP Singh, Director Vigilance and Security Haryana Power Utilities Sh. Kuldeep Singh Siag, Police Commissioner Panchkula, Sh. Hanif Qureshi, DIG CID Sh. Shashank Anand, AIG Provisioning Sh Kamaldeep Goyal and a large number of other officers and employees participated in the event.

The officers performed Surya Namaskar, Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom, and all other yoga activities under the guidance of instructors who stressed upon the importance of practicing Yoga on a daily basis to lay down the foundation of a positive lifestyle and good health.
