Out of seven medal-winning sportspersons, four are from Haryana

Chandigarh August 7:  For Haryana Tokyo Olympics 2020 will always be remembered in history for a long time, as out of seven medal-winning sportspersons, four are from the State.

Meanwhile, August 7, 2021, became a more special day for Haryanvis as  Neeraj Chopra, who hails from Panipat gave India its National Anthem moment by registering a historic win in Men’s Javelin Throw, while Bajrang Punia, from Jhajjar district, added another bronze to the medal tally.

As per the data, till now India has won a total of seven medals in the world’s biggest sports tournament.

Among the seven medal winners from different states, Haryana accounts for four giving many reasons to smile with heads held high in pride.
