Zero tolerance policy against corruption: State Vigilance Bureau registered 8 enquiries and completed 9 enquiries during February

HChandigarh, September 3– Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has registered 10 enquiries during the month of July, 2021. 8 enquiries have been completed, out of which the final report of 7 enquiries has been sent to the Department and the final report of one enquiry has been sent to Lokayukta, Haryana. In addition, two enquiries have been finalized by the Bureau.

Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the State Vigilance Bureau said that out of 8 enquires finalized by the Bureau this month, allegations have been proved in 5 of them in two enquiries, the Bureau has recommended departmental action against 4 GOs and 5 NGOs and to take action against 1 NGO and 1 Ex-Sarpanch by the concerned department at own level along with recovery of Rs. 1,72,000/-from 2 Ex-Sarpanches.

The spokesperson said that in third enquiry, recommendation has been made to take action against 2 GOs by the concerned department at own level in remaining two enquiries, departmental action against 8 GOs and 6 NGOs and criminal case against 2 NGOS and 6 private persons has been recommended.

The spokesperson said that in addition to this, during this month 2 special checking/technical reports have been sent to the Government, in which one work has been found satisfactory. In the remaining one work, the Bureau has recommended departmental action against 2 GOs, 5 NGOs and recovery of Rs 8,79,533 from concerned contractors.

        During the month of July, 2021, the following officers/officials have been caught red-handed and cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act. 1988 has been registered against them.

      He informed that Ajay Kumar, Sub Inspector of Dabwali, District Sirsa taking bribe money of Rs. 2 lakh, Jeet Ram, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Station, Bhatlu Kalan, District Fatehabad taking bribe of Rs 4,000, and Rohtash, Sweeper-cum-Chowkidar of District Welfare Department, Karnal taking bribe of Rs. 4,000 were caught red handed.
