Chandigarh, Dec 24- Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught an SDO Civil and a Junior Engineer of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (construction wing) Panipat while accepting a bribe of Rs 77,000.
Stating this here today, a Bureau’s spokesperson informed that arrested accused were identified as Rakesh Kumar, SDO and Rajesh Kumar, JE posted at the office of SDO Civil UHBVN (Construction Wing) Panipat.
Both the accused were taking the bribe in lieu of disbursing the remaining amount of the complainant’s company, who had constructed the building of 33 KV substation situated at Kabri village in Panipat.
The complainant had approached the bureau. After verifying the facts, a team conducted a raid at the UHBVN office and arrested the accused red-handed with Rs 77,000 bribe money.
A case was registered against them at State Vigilance Bureau police station, Karnal and further investigation is underway.
