Chandigarh September 23: On the occasion of ‘Haryana Veer Evm Shaheedi Diwas’, Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya and Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal paid homage to martyrs.
While, paying homage to all the known and unknown martyrs of the country, the Governor said that because of the supreme sacrifices made by these martyrs we are breathing freely today. Every citizen should fulfill the dreams of the martyrs as only then the nation will progress.
On this occasion, Chief Minister, Manohar Lal said that Haryana has been the land of warriors and patriots since ancient times. The history of Haryana is full of sacrifices made by brave freedom fighters.
He said that if we look at the military tradition of this state, then we get to know that after country’s independence, the story of the valor of the heroes of this small state in the wars of 1962, 1965, 1971 and Kargil is indescribable.
Even today every tenth soldier in country’s army is from Haryana, said Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister paid tributes to the known and unknown martyrs of the country and heroes who fought the first freedom struggle.
