Under the able guidance and directions of Sh. Navjot Singh Mahal PPS, SSP Hoshiarpur and supervision of Sh. Ravinderpal Singh Sandhu , SP (Investigation) Hoshiarpur, District Police Hoshiarpur has initiate da special drive to nab the scrupulous Drug peddlers and Illicit liquor mafia operating in the vicinity.
Boosting the drive against Drug peddlers further, a huge success was achieved by the Hoshiarpur police when a team constituted by Sh. Jagdish Raj Attri DSP City Hoshiarpur consisting of SHO PS City Sh. Gobinder Kumar along with police party from PS City Hoshiarpur was present in the police station when informer informed SHO City Hoshiarpur that a truck driver named Mansa Hussain S/O Abdul Khalid R/O Chanias PS Gonda Dist. Doda (J&K) supplies poppy husk and is today coming to hoshiarpur for supplying Poppy husk in truck no. JK-02-AG-0785. A case F.I.R was registered on receiving information and a preliminary investigation was carried out. During preliminary investigation SHO PS City Sh. Gobinder Kumar along with police did Nakabandi at Naloian Chownk. On seeing the truck arriving SHO PS City signaled the truck driver to stop for checking whereas Truck driver fled from the place breaking the checkpost. SHO PS City along with the police party very bravely chased the rashly driven truck and rounded the truck near Batra Palace Dhobi Ghat Chownk. After conducting the search 8 sacks (3 quintal 12 Kg) Poppy husk, hidden beneath the cardboards was recovered by police party from the truck.
Registered F.I.R :- F.I.R no. 252 dated 23-09-2020 U/S 15-61-85 NDPS Act PS City Hoshiarpur Accused:- Mansa Hussain S/O Abdul Khalid R/O Chanias PS Gonda Dist. Doda (J&K). Recovery:- 8 sacks (3 quintal 12 Kg) Poppy husk.
Carrimg Forward drive against illicit liquor mafia further, an another success stair is added to the ladder by the Hoshiarpur police when a team constituted by Sh. Anil Kumar Bhanot DSP Sub Division Dasuya consisting of SHO PS Dasuya Sh. Gurdev Singh and Insp Surjit Singh along with police party from PS Dasuya Hoshiarpur was present at T-Point Hajpur and searched a car MARUTI SUZUKI no. PB-08-BG-8569 coming from Mukerian side and an another car INDIGO no. PB-37 –B-8915 and recovered 1350 Bottles (10,12,500 ML) illicit liquor from both the cars in total. Distinct F.I.Rs have been registered against both the drivers and preliminary investigation is carried out.

2. Jaswinder singh @ Jinder S/O Bava Singh R/O Ghasitpur PS Mukerian. Recovery:- 1000 bottles(7,50,000 ML).

Registered F.I.R :- F.I.R no. 224 dated 22-09-2020 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act PS City Hoshiarpur Accused:- 1. Rohit Kumar S/O Ashwini Kumar R/O Indira Colony Dinanagar.
2. Sikander S/O Balbir Singh R/O Balakhor PS Indora Dist. Kangara HP. Recovery:- 350 bottles(2,62,500 ML).
TOTAL Recovery:- 1350 Bottles (10,12,500 ML)
