ICAR-CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF POST-HARVEST ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY CELEBRATES 33RD FOUNDATION DAY

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) Ludhiana and celebrate its 33rd foundation day on Oct 3, the Institute will hold ICAR-CIPHET Industry Interface Fair on Agro-Processing – 2021 (CIPHET-IIFA 2021) on October 3-4, 2021.

Addressing a press conference, Institute Director Nachiket Kotwaliwale said that the programme would be organized on a virtual platform and would be attended by different stakeholders of the Institute including farmers, students, entrepreneurs, FPOs managers, extension functionaries of State and central government, NGO representatives and officers and staff of ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana and Abohar.
He said that in the virtual fair, different technologies machines, processes, the protocol would be showcased in an interesting way and panel discussions on different themes related to post-harvest would also be conducted. He said that success stories of entrepreneurs promoted by ICAR-CIPHET would also be shared at the fair.
He stated on the first day, the programme would be inaugurated through ICAR-CIPHET Foundation Day lecture by Secretary DARE and Director General, ICAR DR. -Trilochan Mahapatra.
This session would be chaired by DDG ICAR New Delhi Dr Suresh Kumar Chaudhari. He said that the panel discussions would also be held besides live virtual exhibitions and interaction sessions would be live on both days.
