Chandigarh, 31 July – In order to motivate the young researchers in the University and to promote research environment, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad has sanctioned nine research proposals of newly appointed faculty members and granted a sum of Rs. 18 lakhs for their Research Proposals as Seed Grant under Research Policy of the University. Under the Policy, the University provides maximum of Rs 2 Lakhs to the selected projects of faculty members.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar distributed the seed money grants to the selected faculty members in a program organized by Research and Development Section. Deputy Dean,Dr. Rajiv Saha coordinated the program. Registrar Dr. S.K. Garg and other Deans were also present on this occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that the University is committed to foster a research culture by encouraging various research initiatives. He said that University has established Research Promotion Board for the promotion of research activities in the University.
Those who have been granted seed money for research proposals include Dr. Ravi Kumar, Dr. Anurag Prakash and Dr. Vinod Kumar from Chemistry Department, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Parmod Kumar and Dr. Yogita from Physics Department, Dr. Somvir Bajar and Dr. Navish Kataria from Environmental Science and Engineering Department, and Dr. Vishal Puri from Civil Engineering Department.
