In view of the World Skill Competition to be held in Shanghai, China in the year 2022, a state level skill competition was organized at ITI, Gurugram today.

Chandigarh, August 19  – In view of the World Skill Competition to be held in Shanghai, China in the year 2022, a state level skill competition was organized at ITI, Gurugram today. Around 500 students from 22 different ITIs of the state displayed their skills in the competition.

Director, Haryana Skill Development Mission, Sh. Anant P Pandey inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.

        Addressing the participants, Sh. Pandey said that the participants have reached this stage after competing with thousands of children and he hoped that in 2022 World Skill Competition to be held in Shanghai as well, ITI students of Haryana will contribute the most.

        He said that cash prizes of Rs.11,000 and Rs.5100 would be given to those who come first and second in the state level competition. The competition has been organized under 23 different skills. Those bagging first three places in this competition will have to participate in the regional level competition.

    Sh. Pandey informed that regional competition will be organized in Kochi, Patna, Gandhi Nagar, Guwahati and Chandigarh.  A national level competition will be held in Bangalore among the winners bagging the first three places in this competition.  He informed that the winners of the national level competition will represent the country in the World Skill Competition to be held in China in 2022.
