India@75: Drawing competition, cultural programme held at Sani Zanskar

KARGIL, MARCH 26, 2021: As a part of the 75 Years of India’s Independence-Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Government Middle School Sani, Zanskar organized a colourful programme and drawing competition in the school premises here today.

Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zanskar Sonam Dorjay, Station House Officer Jigmath Singhay, Zonal Education Officer Zanskar, Zonal Education Planning Officer Zanskar, other sub divisional officers besides parents and villagers of Sani were present on the occasion.

The drawing competition organized among the school children was based on the theme Swachh Bharat Abhiyan-Clean India Campaign while prizes were also distributed among the position holders.

While addressing the gathering, SDM Zanskar congratulated the parents and the school staff for achieving 100% results in 8th class examinations. He also felicitated the Headmaster and parents of the position holder students with traditional khataks.

The SDM also assured the villagers to approach the higher authorities to adopt Middle School Sani as Government Model School and provide all possible assistances to the school.

Zonal Education Officer Zanskar and SHO Zanskar also addressed the gathering and appealed people to wear face masks and maintain social distancing besides also following other COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviours (CABs) to contain the pandemic as in near future the 3 gateways of Zanskar via Penzila, Shinku La and Singhey La are opening for traffic.

A colorful cultural programme was also presented by the students, parents and villagers on the occasion.
