Regular updates of data of Covid Hospitals to all the Deputy Commissioners

To check the health status of people living in home isolation

Chandigarh, May 12- Principal Secretary to Chief Minister,  Haryana Sh. V. Umashankar directed all Deputy Commissioners to continuously update the data regarding treatment of Covid patients in the hospitals of the district on the specified portal.

         Sh. V. Umashankar was presiding over the review meeting of Deputy Commissioners and Nodal Officers held here today regarding home delivery of oxygen cylinders through video conferencing.

         Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agarwal was also present in the meeting.

Addressing the Deputy Commissioners, Sh. V. Umashankar said that we have to make necessary arrangements so as to control Corona virus.

He that home delivery of oxygen cylinder refill to Covid patients living in home isolation and patients suffering from other diseases should not remain pending for more than 12 hours in any case.

         He further added that people should get cylinders as soon as possible so that there is no problem of any kind. He further added that such arrangements are to be made for the patients who have applied for cyclinder that those who have been given cylinder once the next cylinder is supplied on time.  He said that it should also be ensured that the scheme regarding oxygen cyclinders is not misused.  He elaborated that to ensure this it is very important to call the person from whom the application seeking cylinder has come so as to make sure that the cylinder has reached the right place or not.

Instructions for updating the correct data

         Dr. Amit Aggarwal instructed the Deputy Commissioners that the authentic data of Covid patients should be updated on the prescribed portal in a timely manner and also to check their levels to ensure that the data is correct.  He said that it has been noticed that figure of patients on the portal is higher in some places. He said that monitoring is also being done from the headquarters from time to time as that is how this matter came to light.

Take Timely Decision

         Sh. V. Umashankar said that it is time to provide immediate help to the people.  In case of any difficulty in refilling of the oxygen cylinder, take immediate decision and its information should also be given immediately at the headquarters so that proper and effective arrangements can be made in a timely manner.

He said that medical officers should be sent from door to door to enquire about the health status of the people living in home isolation and admit the serious patients to the hospital if necessary. During the meeting, the Secretary of State of Red Cross Society was also present.
