Chandigarh, July 31 – Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal has issued directions to all the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of the state to strictly follow the standard operating procedure prescribed for bestowing honours on the occasion of Independence Day and Republic Day and celebrations.
According to the order of the Chief Secretary, the Deputy Commissioners will constitute a committee to review based on the recommendations received regarding the bestowing of honours on Independence Day and Republic Day. This committee will review all the applications and make recommendations to the Deputy Commissioner. A maximum of 20 awards will be sanctioned by the Deputy Commissioner on the occasion of Independence Day / Republic Day.
As per the orders the date of finalization of the list of awards to be given on the occasion of Independence Day this year will be August 10. Last date to decide on list of future awards will be August 5 in relation to Independence Day and January 10 in relation to Republic Day.
All the Deputy Commissioners will ensure to send the list of prize distribution to the Chief Secretary’s office on the last date fixed. Directions have been given to ensure strict compliance of the instructions issued by the committee constituted at the state level.
