Chandigarh, November 10- The contruction work of the International Airport in Hisar, Haryana is on the full swing and it will be operational and the movement of air planes will start by October, 2022.
This information was given in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal in connection with the operation of the International Airport to be built at Hisar here last evening. Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala and MLA, Sh. Kamal Gupta were also present in the meeting and Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal joined through video conferencing.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that the runway of Hisar International Airport would be ready by next May, 2022 and the work related to lighting in the airport would also be accomplished by September, 2022.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that a committee was constituted as part of development of Hisar so that Hisar could be developed as a well-organized city. Similarly, a proposal for clover connectivity at Mirchpur and Dhoondurpur will be prepared for arrival and departure at Hisar airport and this proposal will be sent to the Central Government to ensure smooth movement.
Similarly, it was informed in the meeting that parking facility for international flights would also be available at Hisar airport. Apart from this, two separate terminals will also be constructed at the airport, whose design will be ready by the end of December. Possibilities are also being explored to provide train or metro facility at Hisar airport so that passengers do not face any kind of problem and the convenience of cargo can also be ensured.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that a manufacturing hub has also been proposed at Hisar airport so that special types of industries can be set up here and employment can be ensured to the youth of the State.
Similarly, the Chief Minister was informed about diversion of Balsamand canal, establishment of power station to cater to the airport and shifting of various power lines, for which the Chief Minister directed that all these works should be done at the earliest. Similarly, the Chief Minister also gave directions to the officials regarding setting up of Solar Power Plant at the airport.
Chief Secretary, Sh. Vijai Vardhan, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department, Sh. Alok Nigam, Additional Chief Secretary, Power Department, Sh. P.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. T.V.S.N. Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Sh. Devender Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Civil Aviation, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, Sh. Ankur Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Hisar, Smt. Priyanka Soni along with other senior officers were present during the meeting.
