Ludhiana, 8 Febuary 2025
As per the guidelines received from NYKS, Min of Youth Affairs & Sports – NYK Ludhiana is organising a 5-day “Interstate Youth Exchange Program” from 3rd Feb to 7th Feb 2025 at Punjab Agricultural University. In this program, 25 youth participants plus 02 escorts from the state of Uttrakhand are participating in ISYEP,Ludhiana , Punjab.
Through this innovative measure, the knowledge of the culture, traditions and practices of different States & UTs will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between the States, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India. The objective of the program is to facilitate cultural exchange and enhance understanding among youth from different states through various means such as language learning, cuisine sharing, and structured activities.
Ms Rashmeet Kaur , Deputy Director, NYK Ludhiana told that In this 5-day Program, the opening ceremony was held on 3rd Feb 2025 at PAU, Ludhiana in which Mr Raminder Singh Sangowal , District President BJP and Mr Anil Mittal were present as guests for the lamp Lightening ceremony and welcomed the participants of Uttrakhand to the land of Gurus – Punjab. They also extended their warm support to any program to be organised for the participants in Ludhiana. The participants from Uttrakhand also gave their views about the culture of their state and their expectations from the program. The Team of NYK Ludhiana Mr Amit Verma and Mr Kapil Kumar also welcomed the participants for the 5 day program in Ludhiana planned with cultural exchange program, awareness sessions , industrial visit , historical visits etc.
On Day 2, team building exercises were taken up by Dr Harbilas Heera followed by a very interactive and informative session by NDRF, 7th Bn , Bathinda .Then the participants visited Hero Cycles for an industrial Visit, and then to Gurudwara Dukhniwaran Sahib and a recreational visit to Rakh Bagh.
On Day 3, there were interactive sessions on Flagship Programs of Govt of India, Drug abuse and de-addiction followed by an interactive session on Cyber crime by SHO Satbir Singh , cyber Crime Department and career guidance and counselling session On day 4, the participants visited Historical museum of Rural Punjab at PAU, Dr Uppals Science Museum ,followed by a vibrant Cultural Program by the participants of Uttrakhand and Punjab.
On 7th Feb 2025 , the closing ceremony,Dr KS Suri, Joint Director, DSW, PAU Ludhiana was the chief guest who gave certificates to the participants and motivated them to keep up the good work and keep participating in such programs.
