One day fixed for each district to redress the grievances of the pensioners, announces ACS Finance

Treasury Officer, Drawing and Disbursing Officer to send pension revision cases on ODMS immediately, ACS Finance

 

Chandigarh, March 30: Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department Haryana, Sh. T.V.S.N Prasad said that it is the responsibility of everyone to give due respect to pensioners and to quickly resolve their grievances.

Sh. Prasad while speaking at the Pension Adalat organized at Haryana Niwas, Sector-3 here today for redressal of grievances of pensioners announced that one day has been fixed for each district in the State to redress the grievances of the pensioners through video conferencing. This redressal programme should be held for one hour from 10 am to 11 am. The Adalat was organized by the Principal Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlements), Haryana.

Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, appreciated the efforts of Principal Accounts General (Accounts & Entitlements), Haryana, Ms. Nazli Jafri Shayin, for implementing the Online Diary Management System (ODMS) system for redressal of grievances of pensioners and for hearing revised pension cases.

Pensioners will be able to give an option for LTC along with a life certificate

On a complaint of pensioners on the issue of LTC, Sh. T.V.S.N Prasad directed the Treasury Officers that whenever the pensioners come to submit their life certificates during the block year of four years of LTC, their LTC option should be taken from them and similar arrangements should be made in the HRMS portal for new pensioners. Similarly, directions were also given to the banking Officers to open the focal branch of the State Bank of India at Mahendragarh (Narnaul).

Sh. T.V.S.N Prasad said that the purpose of the Pension Adalat is to hear the pending cases sent by the concerned department to the Accounts General Office, yet many officials of the pensioner association have given general suggestions which are very important, therefore Treasury Officer should ensure that all these suggestions reach the earliest to the headquarters.

Sh. T.V.S.N Prasad said that under a special campaign a team would be sent from the headquarters to hear the problems of pensioners at the divisional level also.

While giving information about the Pension Adalat, Ms. Nazli Jafri Shayin said that today Pension Adalats are being organized all over the country.  About 1000 cases are being heard in Haryana, including complaints related to the validity of pension orders, duplicate PPOs, medical allowance, change in name and address of pensioners, family pension, etc.

On this occasion, Director, Treasuries and Accounts Department, Sh.  Pankaj, Joint Secretary, Finance Department, Captain Manoj Khatri, Senior Deputy Accountant General, Ms. Pragati Singh, Deputy Accountant General, Sh. PK Maurya and Sh. D. Rajashekar and other senior officials of Finance Department also remained present.
