J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology to conduct odd semester theory examination for main and reappear students in online mode from December 21, 2020

Chandigarh, December 17 : Keeping in view the prevailing pandemic situation, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad will conduct the odd semester theory examination for main and reappear students in online mode from December 21, 2020. The University has already released the date-sheets of online examinations except the first semester of all programmes; and third semester of B.Tech and MCA, for which the exam will be held later on.

While giving information to this effect, Controller of Examination Dr. Rajiv Kumar informed that in order to make students familiar with the process of attempting the exam in online mode, online training sessions and demo tests are also being conducted by the University. For appearing in these online examinations, the students will require webcam enabled computer/laptop/tablet/Mobile Phone with internet connectivity. However, the students who are not having requisite Computer/laptop/tablet/Mobile with Internet connectivity will have the option to reach the campus of the University or respective affiliated Institute with prior intimation to avail the facility and appear in these online exams. For using the mobile, it will be mandatory to download the “HireMee Online Assessment platform” app from Google Play/IOS store.

In order to facilitate the online conduct, the Question Paper of all subjects will consist of only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be 50 MCQs covering the entire Syllabus to be attempted within one hour. The students who are to appear in these online examinations will have to register to fill certain details and particulars requisite for online connect, through a registration link to be provided on the University website. The Students of affiliated Institutions will register and provide such details through respective affiliated Institutions.

During the examination, an e-proctoring facility will be used to invigilate the students. Each and every student will be under e-surveillance through picture/video recording during the entire duration of exams, using Artificial Intelligence as well as online Invigilation by the Invigilators.
