Kamlesh Dhanda holds meeting regarding various development works in Kaithal

Chandigarh, January 8: Haryana Minister of State for Woman and Child Development, Kamlesh Dhanda has held a meeting with officers of Public Health Engineering and Irrigation Department regarding various development works being carried out in Kaithal district here today.

In the meeting, Minister said that during the tenure of previous governments, Kalayat area of Kaithal district was always neglected in terms of development works. However, present State Government, while following the motto of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ has carried out various development works in this area. In past few years, under the efficient leadership of Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, the pace of development works has gained momentum.

The Minister directed the officers to ensure that various development works in the district are carried out on priority basis.

While directing the officers of Irrigation and Public Health Engineering Department for early disposal of various water-related problems in the district, Dhanda said that problems related to water drainage and sewerage should be resolved on priority basis as this is rural area where such problems keep happening every now and then.

The Minister directed the officers to make special arrangements for ensuring drainage of rainwater and drains should be connected to the main sewer. She further directed the officers present to ensure that edges of the canal passing through the district are made ‘Pucca’ and maintenance of the same should be ensured from time to time. She directed the officers to work on making model projects for this area so that the pace of development works can be increased.

Among those present in the meeting include, Chief Engineer, Irrigation (Urban), Headquarters, Niteesh Jain, Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering (Urban) Panchkula, Rakesh Kumar, Superintendent Engineer, Irrigation, Kaithal, Rakesh Kumar Sood, Superintendent Engineer, Public Health Engineering, Kaithal, Ashok Khunduja.
