Gursharandeep Singh Grewal, PPS, SSP/Khanna apprised through a Press Conference that Khanna Police has achieved a major success on 12.08.2021 by arresting the snatchers, who had snatched a Rs 16,94,000/- from the complainant Neeraj Kumar s/o Om parkash Sharma r/o Sehjowal PS Nangal, Distt. Ropar and others on dated 03.08.2021.
On dated 03.08.2021, Complainant Neeraj Kumar and other’s car was forcibly stopped by 03 unknown persons on gun point, who were in Santro Car having fake no. PB-11-1113, near Canal, at Punjabi Dhaba, Gadi Pull and snatched three bags having money Rs 16,94,000/-, mobile phones, Purse and other documents and fled away. On the statement of Neeraj Kumar s/o Om parkash Sharma r/o Sehjowal PS Nangal, Distt. Ropar a case FIR no. 162 dated 03.08.2021 u/s 379-B, 34 IPC PS Samrala was registered against unknown persons. Under the guidance of Manpreet Singh, PPS, SP/I/Khanna, Harwinder Singh PPS, DSP Samrala, Inspector Kulwant Singh SHO PS Samrala alongwith technical team did extreme technical investigation and searched all field area to reach out this culprit and identified the car’s original no. PB-11-CU-1873, setup a Nakka at near sua Pulli village Otalan and arrested the accused namely (1) Jatin Kumar s/o Madan Sharma, (2) Vijay Kumar alias Vicky s/o Ganesh both r/o Ekta colony, Rajpura, (3) Sandeep Singh alias deepu alias Mand s/o Baldev Singh (4) Satpal Singh s/o Joga Singh both r/o Adarsh Colony, Rudarpur, PS Rudarpur, Distt. Udham Singh Nagar, UttraKhand, who were coming in a Santro car bearing no. PB-11-CU-1873(Fake No. PB-11-1113) from Khanna Side and recovered 3,60,000/- rupees of snatched money from them. During investigation, crime Under Section 392/473/120-B IPC, 25-54-59 Arms Act was added in the case.
During investigation, it has come to light that accused Vijay Kumar and Jatin Sharma are relatives. On the directions/Plan of Vijay Kumar, Jatin Sharma along with Sandeep Singh alias Deepu and Satpal Singh both r/o Rudarpur snatched three bags having money Rs 16,94,000/-, mobile phones, Purse and other documents from the complainants by using his Santro Car having fake no. PB-11-1113. A criminal case was registered against Accused Vijay Kumar alias Vicky at rudarpur, where he met with the other accused Sandeep Singh alias Deepu and Satpal Singh in the jail at uttrakhand and they were well known to each other. Remaining cash, weapon used in crime still has to be recovered during police remand from the accused and they are still being questioned, investigation is going on and possibility of major disclosers.

(3) Sandeep Singh alias deepu alias Mand s/o Baldev Singh r/o Adarsh Colony, Rudarpur, PS Rudarpur,
Distt. Udham Singh Nagar.
(4) Satpal Singh s/o Joga Singh r/o Adarsh Colony, Rudarpur, PS Rudarpur, Distt. Udham Singh Nagar.
Recovery :-
(1) Santro Car no. PB-11-CU-1873 (Fake No. PB-11-1113) used in crime.
(2) Snatched Money amounting Rs 3,60,000/-
