Chandigarh/Panchkula, Aug 5 – A compensation of 50 lakh was on Friday handed over to the family members of late EHC Narsi Ram in Sirsa district.
Sharing the information here today, the Haryana Police spokesperson informed that Superintendent of Police, Sirsa Dr. Arpit Jain handed over cheques to the family members under the accidental insurance scheme.
A cheque of Rs 45 lakh was given to Smt. Raj Bala, wife of EHC Narsi Ram and Rs 5 lakh to his mother. Besides, the son of the deceased employee has also been appointed as a constable under the ex-gratia scheme.
Conveying his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family, Superintendent of Police Sirsa Dr. Arpit Jain said that EHC Narsi Ram would be long remembered for his commitment and exceptional services to the Police Department. He also assured all possible assistance and support to the bereaved family under the welfare schemes of the department.
Besides the family members of the police personnel, officials of the HDFC bank were also present on this occasion.
