Punjab Water Resources Department informed that Kotla Branch Canal off-taking from Patiala Feeder-1 will remain closed for 14 days to complete the remaining work of Micro Hydel Project at the Head of Bhikhi Distributary.
Keeping in view of weather conditions and crops status, an official spokesperson of the department said that Water Resources Department has decided to close the Kotla Branch from May 29 to June 11, 2020 (Both days inclusive) for the completion of remaining work of Micro Hydel Project at the Head of Bhikhi Distributary. He said that a notification has been issued in this regard under Rule 63 of Rules framed under the Northern India Canal and Drainage Act, 1873.
