KARGIL MAY 20, 2021: Continuing with the ongoing inspection in different parts of the district, Labour Department Kargil conducted inspection of labor sites and quarantine centres in Shakar Chiktan Sub Division here today.
A departmental team headed by the Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Kargil Raziya Banoo in presence of the Tehsildar Shargole visited Shargole Block where they visited various construction sites and GREF labour quarantine centres in the area.
While expressing satisfaction at the level of arrangements for the laborers at all the sites and quarantine centres, the ALC and the Tehsildar Shargole advised the In Charge labour camps, mates and labourers to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 SOPs for their own safety and the safety of others.
Later, the team conducted a doorstep registration and renewal of shops and establishments at Shakar Chiktan and imparted necessary awareness about the schemes of the department to the local population.
Meanwhile, the ALC Kargil along with the Labour Inspector Amina Khatoon and other concerned officials visited Khangral Check Post to take stock of the status of labour registration there.
The ALC also visited the construction site of the Labour Sarai at Chiktan and took over the land possession for early start of construction works.
The departmental team also interacted with the local representatives including the Naib Sarpanch and President Merchants’ Association Chiktan and urged them all to ensure strict adherence of COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines notified by the District Administration for safety and protection of the society at large from the deadly Coronavirus.
