Labourers without negative COVID-19 report not to be allowed to enter Kargil: ALC Kargil
KARGIL, APRIL 20, 2021: As per a notice issued by the Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kargil about labour management in the district, labourers arriving in Kargil either from road or by air must have a negative RT-PCR test report not older than 96 hours before they arrive in Kargil.
The notice further states that labourers who arrive in Kargil without any COVID-19 test report would be turned back from Kargil at the cost of the contractor/mate/employer from the points of entry at Meenamarg, Khangral and Batalik.
Pertinent to mention only labourers with a negative COVID-19 test report would only be allowed to work in Kargil and the department has warned to initiate action against defaulters (contractor/mate/employer) for any non-compliance.
