Madhya Pradesh is the leader in implementing the schemes of the Government of India

Madhya Pradesh has been making rapid strides in the direction of realising the possibilities considered at the time of its formation. Specially the last decade and a half has been a witness to the fact that Madhya Pradesh is now ahead on the path of development. Today, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri.Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a leader in implementation of public welfare schemes and programmes not only of its own but also of the Government of India. Seeing these achievements of Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has described Madhya Pradesh as having full potential to become the driving force of India’s economy.
Here we are sharing some examples of Madhya Pradesh becoming a leader in the implementation of the schemes of the Government of India.
Swamitva Yojana: Madhya Pradesh is leading in providing land-owner rights to the villagers by preparing the land records of the population area under the scheme. On October 06 this year, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi distributed rights records to 1 lakh 71 thousand beneficiaries of 3 thousand villages in 19 districts of the state. So far, 2 lakh 71 thousand rights records have been distributed in more than 3 thousand 800 villages in the state.
Anaemia Mukt Bharat: Madhya Pradesh has secured the first position in the country with a score of 64.1 in Anaemia Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Ayushman Bharat Yojana: Madhya Pradesh is first in the entire country in the card generation of this scheme. So far more than 2 crore 57 lakh 44 thousand cards have been made in the state.
Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana: Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in the implementation of this scheme. So far, assistance of more than Rs 1 thousand 84 has been provided to 25 lakh 36 thousand 917 beneficiaries.
Jal Jeevan Mission: Among the states having more than one crore rural households, Madhya Pradesh ranks fourth in the country in this year’s physical progress of the mission. Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country where all the district level drinking water testing laboratories are NABL certified. Through the mission, 42 lakh 98 thousand houses have got tap connections out of 1 crore 22 lakh houses in the state.
Agricultural Infrastructure Fund: Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in the use of this fund. So far, loan amount of more than Rs 805 crore has been released to the beneficiaries for the development of agricultural infrastructure in the state.
Urban Development: In the Swachchh Survekshan 2020 of the Government of India, the state has jumped one place and has got the third position in the country. 369 cities of the state have been declared as ODF+ and ODF++. It is also worth mentioning that Indore city is the first city in the country which has been awarded the Water Plus Award by the Government of India. Indore has also been awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence from the Government of India for Innovative Financial Management in Urban Transport. In the Smart City Mission, five cities of Madhya Pradesh namely Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Sagar have received 11 awards on the basis of excellent works and the state has got the second position in the states category. In the current ranking of 100 selected cities by the Government of India in the Smart City Mission itself, two cities of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal and Indore have been included in the top three cities of the country. In the Municipal Performance Index, two of the top three cities of the country in cities with a population of more than 10 lakh are Indore and Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. Indore, a city in the state has been included in the top 10 cities of the country in the Ease of Living Index.
Pradhan Mantri Swa-Nidhi Yojana: According to the target set by the Government of India in this scheme, Madhya Pradesh is top in the country by giving cent percent interest free loans to 4 lakh 5 thousand street vendors.
Empowerment of Self-Help Groups: Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country by sanctioning bank loans of more than Rs. 2 thousand 125 crores to more than 36 thousand self-help groups in the last 18 months.
Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana: Madhya Pradesh has been included in the list of top 7 states of the country for the last 3 years in the achievement of length of roads under this scheme. Along with this, the state is also first in the country for the last 3 years in the quality of roads.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural): On the basis of percentage of completion of housing, the state is second in the country and third in the number of houses.
Swachchh Bharat Mission: So far 637 villages of the state have been declared ODF plus. Madhya Pradesh ranks second in the country in this regard.
Transgender Identity Card: Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to issue identity cards to transgenders. So far 364 identity cards have been issued.
Divyangjan Identity Card: Against the total target of 6 lakh 60 thousand for this programme, Madhya Pradesh is second in the country by issuing 6 lakh 63 thousand cards so far.
Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana: At present, Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of in progress/completed works under the scheme in the country, more than 2 thousand. In this way the state ranks first in the country.
Madhya Pradesh leader in solar energy: On the strength of continuous innovations and new technology in Madhya Pradesh, solar energy is being provided at tariff of only Rs.2 14 paise per unit.
Madhya Pradesh is first in the first dose of Covid vaccination: The state is first in the country in this category by applying the first and second doses to more than 4 lakh pregnant women in the vaccination of Covid-19 vaccine.
Skill Development: Madhya Pradesh ranks third in the entire country in ITI grading. Similarly, the state is the first state in the country where the Steno Practical NCVT / SCVT online examination was successfully conducted in the year 2020.
Ease of Doing Business: The state has been ranked fourth in the country in the year 2019 as a result of the procedural reforms made under it. It is worth mentioning that Madhya Pradesh has also been one of the first five states to avail additional credit limit of 2 percent of State GSDP as a result of successful implementation of the reforms proposed by the Government of India in Ease of Doing Business.
