Man involved in 50 cases of snatching, theft in Haryana and  Rajasthan arrested

Chandigarh, June 9 :–  Haryana Police has arrested a person involved in about 50 cases of snatching and theft in Rewari, Dharuhera, Gurugram and Rajasthan from Nuh district.

A desi katta, 7 snatched mobile phones, 55 SIM cards and two stolen motorcycles recovered from his possession.

Sharing the information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that arrested accused has been identified as Sarfaroz aka Chillu, a resident of Raniaki in Nuh. He was involved in close to 50 snatching and theft incidents.

On 08.06.2022, information was received that arrested accused alongwith an illegal weapon and the stolen motorcycle was present in a farm. Thereafter, a police team reached and apprehended the accused.

During interrogation, he disclosed his involvement in about 50 cases of snatching and theft in Haryana’s Rewari, Dharuhera, Gurugam, and adjoining areas in Rajasthan. It was also revealed that he had committed the snatching and theft with his associates.

More incidents of theft and snatching are likely to be revealed during the interrogation of the accused. The information about the arrest of the accused has been given to the concerned police. He will be taken on police remand for a thorough interrogation.
