Chandigarh, September 9 – Managing Director of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Sh. PC Meena, directed the officers that applications for electricity connections should be issued within the stipulated time and better service should be provided to the electricity consumers. He said that any lapse in consumer service work will not be tolerated in any way.
Acting on the complaint received in connection with the negligence and omission in issuing the connection to a consumer today, Sh PC Meena suspended Vikram Singh, SDO/Op. South City Sub-Division, Gurugram and Ashok Kumar, UDC posted in the Sub-Division with immediate effect on the basis of preliminary inquiry report against complaint received in the matter of negligence of duty and unjustified cancellation of the application for electricity connection.
M/s Sunvision Limited had applied for Non-Domestic (NDS) connection of 1550 KW. In lieu of demand notice issued by Nigam, the requisite amount was deposited by the applicant.
Necessary material related to electricity connection was inspected and independent feeder was also erected by the consumer. Despite this, the application for release of connection was cancelled. In the preliminary inquiry, Vikram Singh, SDO/Operation and Ashok Kumar, UDC have been found responsible for unjustified cancellation of the application for electricity connection.
